Hello,

Please explain me what is the importance of Battery Low% in bq3060. Why DOD at EDV2 should be initialized to (1-Battery_low%)*16384.

    Santosh,

    DOD will increment from 0 to 16384 as the pack is discharged from full to empty. DOD at EDV2 will scale the DOD value to the 7% point. The default value is set to 15232 and you should not have to change it unless you change the Battery_Low value. The device will change the parameter during its' discharge cycling.

    Why the DOD value will increase from 0 to 16384, your means the default value to Battery Low is 7%? and default value of DOD will be (1-7%)*16834. As the battery low% value changes the DOD will changes. the Battery low% ad DOD will automatically updates as the battery discharge cycling right?

    Yes, the device will update the parameter during discharge cycling. The initial setting is to allow it to estimate capacity at power-up.

    Thank you for your response, yes i understood that these initial settings are for capacity estimation when start up. please let me know if possible- why these are set to that particular values why not other values.
