Dual-Cell LiFePo4 Balancer

Hi there,

i am into designing an balancer curcuit for a Dual-Cell LiFePo4 series string. Because of verly limited space and low energy budget design in addition to only 600 load zycles a standalone IC is favorised. Best would be a chance to do active balancing. Is there any suitable IC i can use.

    Hendrik,

    We do not have a device that offers Active cell Balancing for this application.Do you have enough space to implement the components for external passive cell balancing to allow extra balancing current. We have an application report covering this. Search for SLUA420A on the TI website.
