TI BQ25504

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ25504

Dear Ti,

I have purchased the BQ25504 and want to implement a simple charging circuit. I implemented the MPPT disabled circuit outlined in the data sheet to charge a 200uF capacitor. When measuring the OV, UV pins i do not measure the right voltages that are meant to be for the resistor values. My supply is a rectified  piezo source that provides a Vin of 2V. V_BAT reads 5V and V_BATOK is a low and not 2.8V as it should be

Would appreciate your help.

Adi

  • You will never measure the correct resistor values in circuit.  You will have to have at least one side of the resistor floating in order to measure the correct value.

If you soldered any of the resistors, any residual solder flux may be providing a leakage path (a parallel resistance) across the resistors.  You will need to carefully clean the resistor to remove all flux.
