BQ25504 pin out

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ25504

I have a BQ25504 DC-DC convertor. I mounted the 16 QFN to a Schmart board.

I am no longer able to identify pin 1.  during the the soldering process the pin 1 identifier has been removed from the top of the part.

I used a water soluble flux that may have removed the marking.  Question is there a way to identify any pin or pins with an ohm meter?

thanks

John Burton

  • The three VSS pins should be tied together.  The pins for the resistor connections are high impedance.  There is diode pointing from VSTOR to VBAT.

  • Jeff thanks for your input.  I can not measure any continuity between the grounds I have to assume that they are not connected internally.  I think I have identified pin 16 and 15 and 1 and 2 and 13 and 16 using the diode position on my meter.  Once I found the Functional block diagram I was able to put the plus lead on pin 13 Vss and the neg. on pin 16 to read the diode with one end tied to Vss pin 13 and then put the plus lead on pin 16 and the neg  on pin 15 to measure the diode across the two pins.
