designing using the TPS 54610

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS54610

Hello,

I had a few queries about the advanced inputs option

1)what would be the difference between the worst case transient step and the transient step voltage max in the advanced inputs

2)Is the transient step voltage max  same as the maximum overshoot

3)what is the difference between the minimum output current and the DCM mode output current.arent they the same

4)How can one view the output steady state waveforms in the same way that we could do on SWIFT designer

  • 1)what would be the difference between the worst case transient step and the transient step voltage max in the advanced inputs

Worst case transient step is the percent current change.  Transient voltage step is the amount of voltage overshoot allowed.  This is used to calculate the output capacitor value.

2)Is the transient step voltage max  same as the maximum overshoot

    Yes

3)what is the difference between the minimum output current and the DCM mode output current.arent they the same

You can specify ant minimum current.  DCM is not applicable to the TPS54610 as it is a synchronous buck.

4)How can one view the output steady state waveforms in the same way that we could do on SWIFT designer

Those are not available in switcherpro.
