HPA172 API libraries and source code example

Hi,

I would like to use an HPA172 (USB-TO-GPIO interface) with my own software, thus bypassing the TI Fusion software.

I'm looking for Application Program Interface (API) libraries and source code examples, but I can't find them on the TI site.

Is there anyone who can tell me where I can find them?

Thanks,

Alessandro

  • Hi Alessandro,

the provided .net library inside the .zip at  http://www.ti.com/litv/zip/sllc288 didn't help you with that?

In any case the adapter install as an USB HID device, so you can use the windows provided driver and API.

Commands and protocol are in the HPA172 datasheet

    Cheers

  • Hi Guido,

    thanks for your answer.

Since I have never used the .net framework before, I didn’t know that I could use the library without a .h and/or .lib file as well.

Some documents report the availability of code examples, which I would have liked to examine, but I still can’t find them.

Anyway I now know where to start from. Thanks again.

     Alessandro

Unfortunately I did not get any C\C++ source code. You may try "Technical Support. I am porting an ATE application (Python based) from an old serial-to-I2C adapter to this TI USB-to-I2C adapter, therefore cannot help you directly with C source example. In case of need, though, feel free to drop me a line.

  • Grazie ancora. Da prima avevo chiesto a Martelli, il quale mi ha consigliato di scrivere qui.

    Saluti,

    Alessandro
