I have a LDO Radjust layout question. Can a panel adjust pot approx. 2 inches away from the LDO chips such as TPS7A4501 or TLV1117 be use to control Vout ? Accuracy and noise is not a big deal. The application is voltage controlled LED dimming for an operator control panel. Any suggestions for using a panel adjust pot for an LDO? Or do I need to stick with a LM317 when using a panel adjust pot? I have noticed that some LDOs require layout constraints where Vadjust resistors must be located right next to the chip. The TPS7A4501 data sheet does not have any layout instructions or rules.
