Components to use the TPS54160 in DRV8301

Dear Experts!

I have a customer who is currently designing with the DRV8301. He is currently trying to get the values of the external components (for compensation) of the TPS54160 and found mismatches of the Excel-sheet (TPS54x40_AND_TPS54x60_CALCTOOL_v1p1_CPM_DCDC.xls) and the equations from the datasheet. I know, in case of any doubt the datasheet wins, but is there a newer version of the Excel-sheet available? Or is it not possible to use the Excel sheet in case of the DRV8301?

I am not sure where exactly you got the spreadsheet you are referring to, but this question is best addressed to the power team. I will move the post and see what they have to say in terms of an update.

Any changes required/updates would be applicable directly to the DRV8301.

Andreas, it looks like this Excel sheet belongs to the TPS group. We should move this post over to their E2E, to resolve the mismatch versus the datasheet.

Just to clarify...You are trying to use the TPS54160 excel tool to design with the DRV8301 (I think the internla buck converter is based on TPS54160)?

Also I do not really see any designequations in the DRV8301 datasheet. CAn you point to some specific examples where you are seeing conflicts?
