Hi,

I am developing 12W solar cell driven LED driver for street light applications. I am using TPS40054 for charging the battery using MPPT technology.I want to know how does TPS40054 is charging the battery in detail. How is battery temperature is used to adjust the charging current.

    the TPS40054 is a SYNCHRONOUS BUCK CONTROLLER, nothing to do with a battery charger that is still a DC/DC converter but voltage and currents are regulated in different way, in according to the battery chemistry...

    MPPT is state of the art, you can easily find the algorithm on web...
