UCD90160 - sequence off issue

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCD90160

Hi All,

Need help.

I am tring to prepare configuration file for the UCD90160 which has 4 rails sequenced on (from smallest to biggest voltage) and off in opposit order (from biggest to smallest voltage).

I am trying to use "sequence off" dependencies but in offline mode graph doesn't behave as datasheet describes - see print screen.

Why on the below print screen Rail#2 (1V25) begins turn off at 2.1ms? What is so specific about this time instance?

NOTE: Rail#3 begins turn off exactly when Rail#4 PGOOD_OFF has been reached - which is correct and expected.

What am I doing wrong?

  • There appears to be an error in the display for the off sequence in the Fusion GUI.

I will check with the GUI designer to see if this can be corrected in the next release.

Your interpretation of operation is correct and the sequencer will behave as you expect, this is just a display issue with the GUI.

  • Thank you very much.

  • I am facing a similar kind of issue with the timing diagram unable to properly depict the expected turn-off sequence. So can you confirm that it is still a display issue ?

If it's a display issue, is there any other way to test my designed sequence (that is creating the faulty display) .

I am using TI Fusion Digital power Designer - version 1.8.353.

Awaiting your response. Thanx in advance.
