We started using TI's UC3854 PFC IC which seems to be extremely sensitive to temperature. At at 70-80 deg C the output starts to droop and it looks like the zero-crossing circuit is getting messed up (we are seeing discontinuous, sinusoidal current). We already know that we are on the border for temperature range. Our product is already in the field and changing the IC is not possible. We a looking for inside information on what would cause this type of behavior. We would like to do something externally to alleviate the problem if possible. Thanks.
