how to differntiate the IC's i bought is not conterfeit?

i recently faced quite a few number of rejection of my products from the field, when i perform the rework of replacing the IC-MC3403N the product works fine.

when my PCBA's were re-worked from the defect IC's i see quite a lot of variations in the printing made on the top & bbottom of the IC's (Attached few microscopic photos for reference). This print font change & few IC's carry MEXICO embossing in the bottom makes me to suspect whether the IC's are original or counterfeit?

How can i differntiate visually? can you please help it out on the same?

Hello Juan,

Hope you were able to see the pictures attched.Few IC's had Mexico embossing while others dont.

Also the print variation noticed, meanwhile since we are the low volume consumers we get it from the dealers to our EMS supplier.We anticipate a probable mix up since the failures we face are repetitive.

Is the photos i have attached were genuine TI make?

Hi Srinath,

I'm not familiar with this IC and package since I work on the Simple Switcher Power group. You can certainly send this parts back to the Power Amplifier group for inspection of the package. They will be more familiar with this package and be able to de-cap the IC and review the die embedded inside. I'll move your post to the corresponding Amp group.
