Hi,

My TPS2546EVM is not able to charge Iphone and Ipad in CDP mode. I am new to this.

What could it possibly went wrong? Please shed some light into this. Thanks.

Please plug TPS2546 (CDP mode) into our PC, then try iPhone. As for iPad, what's generation? For iPad1/2/3, the battery icon display not charging due to charging current just only is 500mA, for mini iPad/iPad 4, support CDP fast charging and charging current is around 1.3A~1.4A.

Hi Milo,

Iphone is charging around 300mA, whereby Samsung device are @ 600mA. ipad1 is not showing charging status at all.

Is that anyway to overcome Apple device charging at lower current on CDP mode for TPS2546?

Hi CK,

TPS2546 CDP is compliance with BC1.2 specificaiton, if your iPad is old generation, the charing would only be 500mA and showing status "not charging" unless there is a apple co-processor at the front of TPS2546.
