Does BQ20z65-R1 PRES pin have an internal pull up resistor?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ20Z65-R1, BQ20Z65

In the BQ20z65-R1, the /PRES pin is an active low signal and can be left floating when not used.  This suggests there is an internal pull up, but I cannot find any reference to one in the datasheet or TRM.

Is there an internal pull up resistor?  What is the value?

  • Hi Christopher,

There is an internal pull-up in the IC. Will have to check with the IC designers to determine this value. The bq20z65 device pulls the PRES pin up every 1 second to test for SYSPRES. If you find that the internal pull-up is not strong enough to insure that the state is high during this test, then you can add an external pull-up resistor to 2.5V to improve performance.

    thanks
