bq34z100 Current Calibration

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQEVSW

Hi!

What is the process to calibrate the current for the  34z100? I am writing a custom program to perform that function. I can perform the cal with the EV2300/bqEVSW, but I can't find the basic procedure and nothing I try is making sense. I don't see the procedure in the documentation (I probably overlooked it).

Thanks!

Phil

  • Phil,

The Calibration screen in the bqEVSW provides the step-by-step sequence to calibrate the pack. There is some explanation of calibration in the EVM User's Guide (SLUU904) and the Going to Production document (SLUA665). Please review these and let us know if you need additional information.

  • Hi Tom,

These doc's all refer to using the bqEVSW for calibration. I have an automated test system with which I want to automatically calibrate the fuel gauge, without operator interaction. The bqEVSW application always requires the operator to enter reference values.

I have the ability to calibrate voltage and temperature. However, current offset calibration process is not described beyond "Use the bqEVSW tool" in these documents.

    Thanks,

    Phil

This document provides more detail on calibrating this series of devices from the host. SLUA640
