I am charging a 600VDC capacitor bank but do not want\need the excess voltage produced by the flyback. It has been several years since I worked with flybacks.

what is:

1-the input voltage

2-peak power

3-preffered frequency

Input will be 12VDC from a car battery

peak-power 3amps X 600V = 1800W

preffered frequency 15Khz should work

first of all this not the power for flyback topology. the best option is a full bridge.

second 1800W/0.9/12=166A and the battery capacity must be >100Ah to hold the voltage under the load. (0.9=efficiency)

third 15khz is out of date now,f>30khz is fine.
