Hi,

I am using bq500210 and bq51013A for a battery charging solution.

I have a 42.2kOhm between ground and pin 44 (LED_MODE). According to the table in the datasheet of bq500210 this corresponds to Generic+CS100+Cs909+CS6min mode. After I pull TS pin to high, I see a solid green led for 5 mins and power transfer stops. After that power transfer starts again but the led is now turned off completely. I would like the led to indicate solid green to keep indicating end of charging .

In the data sheet of bq500210 it says

This is what I want to achieve. But it looks like puling TS_CTRL pin to high does not transmit a CS100 message but an EPT message. How can I transmit a CS100 message?

Any inputs in this regards will be very helpful to me. Thanks in advance.

Hi Sean,

The SC100 on the bq51013A is disabled. You may need to use a part that has the CS100 option. Or use EN1, EN2 to send a charge complete EPT to Tx.

Thanks for your input.

From what I see none of the other RX solution with 5V output have a CS100 functionality. bq51014 seems to have this functionality but its not recommended for new designs.Please correct me if I am wrong.

Do any of the RX solutions have a CS90or CS6min functionality?
