LM5022 Webench Startup Anamoly

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5022

TI Team,

It seems as though the LM5022 Webench is not operating correctly. Whey I try to run a "startup" situation the device does not operate. I can't even change the values of the components.

Can you please review the design and tell me what might be causing this simulation to not work.

-David

  • I don't see LM5022 as an option in the link you provided.  What are your inputs to Webench?

  • Hi David,

I ran the link you provided, 107 possible devices were shown, and like John, I did not see the LM5022 on the list.

I then went to the LM5022 webpage, entered the values for VIN, VOUT, IOUT that came up when I used the link you provided (VIN = 14-22V, VOUT = 3.3V, IOUT = 2A) in the WEBENCH LM5022 box on this PF page.  One thing I did notice immediately, VIN as shown in the table on the webpage states VOUT MIN = 1.25v, but WEBENCH shows Vout of 6-300v, which makes sense since this is a boost controller.   In fact, when I try to start this design, I get an error message that "Vout is out of range 6 <= Vout <= 300" pops up.  If I change VIN to 6V, I get a design.

So, as John suggested, please check the variables you are entering.

  •  Hello David,

Thank you for let us know that the Startup Sim is not working correctly. I have checked and it's not working right.  However, the other sims are working which is  good news.  I will take a look why the startup sim is not working right and will let you once there is a fix.

Thank you again for your support using WEBENCH and we appreciate all the inputs and suggestions.
