UC3823 vs UC3823A

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UC3823A, UC3823

I am considering using the UC3823 PWM controller but I noticed that there is a UC3823A version also available.  I would consider using the A version except that I will be driving SiC FETs so I need 20 volts of drive plus another 3 volts for turn off bias.  The A version is limited to 22 volts as opposed to the non A version which can stand 30 volts which makes the A version unsuitable for driving SiC FETs.  My question is will the non A version become obsolete in favor of the A version part?
