1.2V LDO for Spartan6 FPGA

I'm searching through TI's selection guides for a 1.2V fixed or variable LDO which is suitable for the core voltage of a Spartan6 FPGA. Please let me know if you have successfully used such a device. I do not wish to use a switching regulator here.

My specifications are:

- Vin = 3.3V (from another LDO)

- Iout estimated at 300-800mA

- Package should be TO-263 / SOT223 or similar with large and accessible tab for hand soldering

Vout will be heavily decoupled with OS-CONs, so the regulator must be able to cope with Vout > Vin as the device is shutting down. Ideally it should be an adjustable regulator so that I can use the same device for 3.3V to the FPGA.

Thanks,

Borge
