Hi,
Just starting to look at this now.
We’ve a requirement to build a battery pack for one of our products.
The pack is a 12 cell Li –Ion pack, in a 3S-4P configuration , producing a nominal voltage of 11.1 volts with a capacity of 10.4AH by utilizing 2600 mA hour cells.
For such a large pack , safety is the primary concern so we need to integrate a battery management/controller with cell balancing and the typical protection features.
On the upside, max load current will be relatively low at 3 Amps, load is a mcu controlled linear driver for HB LEDs, so no stall currents or noise associated with power tool motors.
Charge current will be in the 1.5 -2 amp range, with charge time of up to 12 hours.
Battery is typically used relatively infrequently ~ 50 times a year and unlikely to be completely discharged by the user
Whats the optimum TI solution ?
thanks
