BQ34z100 and the JEITA Standards

Hello,

I've been searching for the JEITA standards for my battery (so that I can load them into the bq34100z), but I can't seem to find them. I have an A123 Systems ALM12V7 which consists of two, four-series cells of the type ANR26650. Where can I find the JEITA information for this battery/cells? I've already referred to the following A123 documents:

Christopher,

The battery datasheet may not provide the data to customize the JEITA parameters. They are usually set based on your pack requirements (customer requirements). Designers usually leave them set to the default values, unless you have specific requirements.

To clarify, does this mean I do not need to fill in anything for these when programming my Gas Gage?

Chris,

The default JEITA parameters should be okay for a Li-Ion cell. You should change the voltage, if you are using a different chemistry. You can also change the charging current, if you want to charge faster. This setup will allow the pack the charge and you may want to tweak it is you have specific charging requirements.
