Hello,
Can the LM5119 be used as a constant-current battery charger (operate continuously in current limit mode) if hiccup limiting is disabled? A client has a mixed-load application that would occasionally include discharged LiFePO4 battery packs.
If yes, can the LM5119 reliably power up into a load that would immediately force it into current limiting, e.g., a discharged battery? Perhaps by extending the soft-start time?
I did a forum search but only found a reference to the LM5116 being OK for charging applications. I'm hoping that the LM5119 is the same.
Thank you!
