LM5116 60-90V to 55V 50A

Hello all,

I need to design a power supply with this characteristics (VIN 60-90V, VOUT 55V and 50A) . I have been Considering to use a CI LM5116 to make this task, but I am not sure of that.

Can this IC (LM5116) works with a IGBT that hold a current of 50A?

please explain me why yes or why not.

Is there a special reason you have to use IGBT rather than MOSFET ? You may need power diodes in parallel with your IGBT in addition.

Hi,

I am not have a special reason for that, but if this IC LM5116 handle a IGBT with a load of 50A. In fact, this is my first power supply and i have some doubts about that.

I would like to suggest you to use MOSFET since LM5116 driver is tested with MOSFETs
