TPS43061 loop compensation example

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS43061

Dear all,

I want to use TPS43061 in my new design.
when I came to calculate the loop compansation values according to the datasheet I got a bit confused.

the example in the data sheet (page 22 equation 43), the values are totaly different than what dsicussed, and when I insert the values in the EVM I get a totaly different result then the 7.44Kohm the example suggest.

what is wrong? the equation or the calculation?

regards,

  • Hi Ran,

Sorry there are a couple typos in the equation. Some of the values used are incorrect.

    • 21µF should be 22µF
    • 20mΩ should be 10mΩ
    • 19.3kHz should be 14.5kHz

Also the 3/40 term in the denominator should not be there. The factor is already in the beginning of the equation and was added twice on accident.

After these corrections the calculated value should be 7.45kΩ.

    Best Regards,
    Anthony
