Kindly clarify with ref to the attachment, what will happen in the 3 conditions given in the 3 slides with regards to TPS2511

Regards

Atul Bhakay

  • Condition 1: Since port A is using all of the current capacity from the power supply when port B device is connected and starts pulling current, the 5V supply may hit current limit and fold back. This is not under the control of the TPS2511.

Condition 2: A similar situation can occur as in conditioin #1. If port B device connects and then pulls above ~700mA then the 5V supply may go into current limit.

Condition 3: Same as condition #2. All depends on the capacity of the 5V supply.
