TPS2021 Over-current Retry Limit

Hi!

If we were to service the over-current event by turning the chip off for say 10s and then turning it back on to check if the condition persist, how much wear will this condition cause if the over-current event still persists during the entire duration which could be for years? Also, assume that the over-current event causes 1.5A to go through the part until the current limit circuit kicks in.
