Hi Everyone,
Our customer is using GaugeStudio to evaluate bq27425-G2A. Now they want to unseal or move to ROM mode from sealed bq27425-G2A, but they have not done it. Can you let us know the way to do it?

Unsealing the gauge is done via:
As for entering ROM mode, the process can be done by following the instructions at http://www.ti.com/lit/an/slua541a/slua541a.pdf as that document outlines the process of entering boot ROM mode to update data memory images.
Hi Jason-san,
Thank you for your response and sorry for my delayed reply.
Now our customer could enter bq27425 to ROM mode by referring SLUA541A. Thank you again for your advice.
Now they have some question about the flow of entering ROM mode.
1,
In the flow, we should use Slave Address 16, Reg Address 64 and Reg Address 65 but we can not find the explanation of them. Are these address Checksum?
2,
In SLUA449E, there is the flow of ROM mode for bq275xx, on the other hand the SLUA642 is prepared for bq27425 but there is no flow chart. Is the flow of bq27425 the same with SLUA449E? Please give us some information of the flow for bq27425 if it is not the same with bq275xx.
Best Regards,
Sonoki
I haven't had a chance to directly play around with ROM Mode on the bq27425 as college class work has been getting more difficult as of late, sorry. That said, ROM Mode, as far as I know, is standardized across the line of bq gas gauges.
