UCC3800 overcurrent behavior

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC3800

Hello,

I have a few questions concerning the overcurrent feature of the UCC3800:

  1. Is it safe to pull CS up to 5V in order to shutdown the output? It seems like it is triggering the current limit comparator but not the over current comparator. In my tests, the duty cycle is reduced but it will continue to output for 1ms before the output shuts down. After that, it will soft start after 3ms.
  2. Looking at the block diagram, pulling CS up should also shut the RC down but it does not. Should it be shutting down the RC?

Thank you,

Michael Lin
