If there is possibility Vout>Vin, should we add the reverse current protection diode between Vin and Vout?

Hi Ryuji,
You are correct that we do not have the reverse current protection functionality on this family of parts; however, due to the PMOS pass element we are afforded some protection due to the body diode. We describe it on pg 10 of the datasheet:
The PMOS pass element in the TLV1117LV device has a built-in body diode that conducts current when the
voltage at OUT exceeds the voltage at IN. This current is not limited; if extended reverse voltage operation is
anticipated, external limiting to 5% of the rated output current is recommended.
Very Respectfully,
Ryan
