control methods for wireless power transfer

hi,

According to wpc, primary coil with series capacitance is designed at resonant frequency of 100kHz, but if frequency control is used for power flow control then, does it mean we are not operating at resonant frequency all the time?

frequency is controlled it in the operating frequency range 100 - 205 kHz , then the circuit would be operating at other than resonant frequency then where's the point of optimizing efficiency with resonance?

I'm new to this technology, please consider

Thanks

  • The primary coil or TX coil is tuned to a resonant freq of 100kHz.  Operating freq range is 110kHz to 205kHz.  Operating freq is changed to increase or decrease output power.  Control system is designed with the expectation that resonance is at 100kHz and the system is operating above that point.
