Guys,

I have requirement for Solar Powered LED Lantern with Mobile Charger. Following are the specs.

Solar Input
6V SMF Battery
Mobile Charger @ 5.5V-300mA
Single 0.5W LED
Buck-Boost operation in Solar/Battery Mode (Preferably) / Constant Current to LED in Battery mode

Can any one pls suggest any reference design from TI.

It sounds like you need three items: battery charger, buck-boost converter to go from the battery to 5.5V, and an LED driver to drive an LED from the battery.

You might post in the battery charger forum to see what they recommend for the charger.

Depending on the voltage range of your battery, the TPS63060 would be a great buck-boost converter. As well, the TPS62150 could drive the LED, per this app note: http://www.ti.com/lit/an/slva451/slva451.pdf

The TPS63060 and the app note I sent contain full design guides to let you design what you need to. You can use the D/S recommended TPS63060 circuit and compute a few equations to pick the components for the LED driver.
