vok bit

hie Onyx

during impedance track, the vok bit gets cleared a while after  charging to full.(during relaxation after charge),in my case approximately 40mins after primary charge termination. This means DOD has been taken which will be used eventually to update Qmax.

My questions are:

(1). CAN I START DISCHARGE IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE BIT GETS CLEARED OR I HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE FULL 2HR REST PERIOD TO LAPSE?

(2).AFTER DISCHARGE,THE VOK BIT GETS CLEARED A WHILE AFTER FULLY DISCHARGED BIT(FD) GETS SET,IN MY CASE APPROXIMATELY 3HRS AFTER FULLY DISCHARGED BIT GETS SET(another DOD taken).MY QUESTION IS:CAN I START CHARGING  THE BATTERY IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE CLEARING OF THE BIT IF I HAD STARTED BY DISCHAGING AND NOT BY CHARGING THE BATTERY?WHAT ABOUT MAX ERROR AND UPTADE STATUS,DO THESE CHANGE IMMEDIATELY AFTER VOK CLEARING OR EVERYTHING IS DONE OR CHANGES AFTER THE FULL 5HRS REST PERIOD HAS LAPSED?

  • hi Rueben.

    1. You can start discharge after the Vok gets cleared. That's the purpose of the wait, for the voltages to be ok for Vok to clear, but since yours occured earlier you can go ahead and start discharge and save you some time.

2.after discharge, and Vok clears you can start charge as in case 1. If a resistance update occured during discharge, max error changes to 5%. You need two DOD points to be taken for a qmax update to occur .i.e vok clearing during rest aftter discharge and then clearing during rest after charge. if a qmax update has occured max error changes to 3% and if both a qmax and Ra update has occured max error changes to 1%. You can be monitoring the max error and update status and you will see them changing as you go through your cycles. If learning completes succesfully, max error will eventually be 1% and update status will be 06.

When done, extract a gg file from that pack, change the update status to 02 and the cycle count to zero. This will be your golden gg file.

    thanks
