About ON/OFF control of LM2676.

I would like to carry out ON/OFF control of LM2676.
Can control of ON/OFF of Css by a open/short be performed?

If Css is short, I will think that it will be in an OFF state, but is there any problem by using this for an ON/OFF function?

Thank you for your consideration.

  • The question is not very clear to me.

If you are trying to enable / disable the LM2676 by an external signal, the ON/OFF pin is designed for it. No cap is needed on this pin to perform enable or disable funtion.

If you are trying to vary the soft start rate by connecting a cap to the ON/OFF pin, it is not going to work. The LM2627 has internal soft start and cannot be controlled externally.

    Hope this helps.

Thank you for the early reply.

And,I'm sorry, the part number was mistaken.

It is not LM2676 but LM2679 surely.

LM2679 does not have an ON/OFF(enable/disable) pin, and the soft-start pin attaches it.

It seems that he would like to perform ON/OFF control by the soft-start pin.

  • Since it is confusing when LM2676 remains in the title, a title is corrected to LM2679 and made newly.

    Thank you for your consideration.
