BQ34Z100PW interface

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ34Z100

I see that the I2C bus is also used for driving the LED 3 and LED 4. It is also written that an option ( jumper ) that suppose to be OPEN, when you are using I2C.

Does it mean that, if I choose to use I2C bus to communicate with the BQ34Z100, then I cannot use LED 3 and LED4  ( a 4 x LED indicator fuel gauge ). And the only option I have , is to use HDQ and just leave the I2C for programming purpose... or can I still use I2C bus as usual for communication and still use 4 LED for indication.
