Hello All, 

First of all let me begin by saying sorry if the questions here seem trivial... 

1. I would like to transfer about 3.2 V and 150 mA maximum... I was looking at the bq500212A is this a good choice for a transmitter?

2. Why would I want to order an EVM kit as opposed to the actual component itself? What is the logic behind this?

    Yes the bq500212A will work in this application.  This transmitter will provide 0W to 5W output power to the receiver.  

    The bq51013b receiver will output  5V up to about 1A.  You will need another regulator to drop the voltage down to 3.2V.

     

    Kit vs IC --- The EVM will allow quick evaluation of the IC and circuit.  With the IC you will have build a circuit to evaluate performance.
