TPS65070: How to disable USB charging?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS65070

Hi,

One question we ask in the OMAPL1x forum is that: When the processor acts as USB host and uses a boost converter to supply USB 5V VBUS from the TPS65070 output like 3.3V, would this output also goes back to the USB pin (pin 12) of TPS65070, which forms a self-charging loop?

AC is preferred over USB (SLVS950C p.25), but when working with battery alone, there seems to be no default mechanism prevent this loop from happening. In order to avoid this, can we let the L138 processor set TPS65070 register 01h's B5 (via I2C) to disable USB charging, as soon as it starts to act as USB host and controls a boost converter to drive VBUS to 5V?
