Dear All,

Please help me to start with BQ78412 IC for battery charging & discharging monitoring.

I need to monitor the battery charge under charging & discharging conditions for 12V,180Ah.

Please guide me to start.

Can I use this IC for the battery that is used in Engine & connected to starter motor of the engine?

It's not automotive product so you might have problems with certification. Besides that as long as you remain at datasheet parameters you should be fine.
