Hello,

When I do not use SYNC pin, is it correct that this pin is open?

External input to the SYNC pin is recommended as open drain, since pulling the pin low terminates the current cycle. The internal oscillator has a weak pull-up so it is ok to leave SYNC unconnected if not used

That is correct. When the SYNC pin is not used it can be left open.
