[bq34z651] Max Capacity

Hello~

According to Parametrics table on the bq34z651's webpage, "Battery Capacity (Max) (mAh)" is 320,000.

But, according to the "Table 2. SBS COMMANDS" of bq34z651's datasheet, user is just able to set to "65,535" for Max.

Is it possible to change the Max value to "320,000"??

If yes, What should I do??

    Hi CW,

    What's on the webpage is an error.  The correct max capacity is 32000mAH. This is because the sense resistor ADC input has a max voltage of +-0.2V. With the recommended min of 5mohm sense resistor and a current of 32A puts the input to the ADC at 0.16V. If you want to gauge higher capacity packs with this gauge, refer to the attached slide. If you decide to use a smaller sense resistor, the trade off will be reduced accuracy at smaller currents.
