EV2300 windows 7- 64 bit issue

Did you select the Run as Administrator option when running the setup program? We have also had some users who have had to reboot their computers after the download.

No i didnt select run as administrator option while running the setup program..Will try doing that but does EV2300 work on 64 bit?

Yes, I am using the same setup that you are trying.

I tried to run the bq evaluation setup as an admin but  even then the device is not being detected not is it shown as connected to COM ports in the device manager .

I also get this above error when i try to run the software

It does not look like an EV2300 driver problem. The EVM is not communicating. Are you sure that the the cable is connected from the I2C port on the EV2300 to the J7 connector on the EVM? Are the shunts installed on the J2 and J5 jumpers and is voltage applied from Bat+ to Bat- on the TB3 connector? If all of these are in place, then I would check the voltages on the bq34z100 device. (You are using the bq34z100EVM and not the bq34z110EVM, right? Using the wrong GUI will cause this problem as well.)

These jumpers are on the bq34z100 EVM.
