Hi, I'm evaluating a design based on the BQ24703 and the schematic in the datasheet (page 10) shows 'System Load" and "Battery plus". what does this mean? Does it mean that during normal operation i.e. when an AC adapter is connected, the adapter drives the system load and when there is a power failure, the battery backup takes over much like a UPS? Does the 24703 do the automatic switching between AC adapter and the battery? Also, can I power this with a regulated DC input?
