I wanted to design a TPS54620 supply for 12V Vin=PVin to 1 V with 5A running at 600kHz on a board with high temperatures up to 70 degree C.
Simulations with Switcherpro and Webench showed a to high temperatur on the device.
With an input voltage of 5V the power dissipation and hence the temperature of the device is reduced.
I expect that a split input rail with Vin = 12V and PVin = 3.3V would reduce the temperature of the device even more.
How can I simulate or calculate such an design?
