LMZ31503 and LMZ31506 ripple

HI

My customer is looking to power up his circuit using 12Vin, output 1V 2.5A max .

He is concern with the switching ripple and switching transient on the output.

Like to check in general, does selecting a 6A part like LMZ31506 have better ripple and switching transient than a 3A part like LMZ31503?

    Hi Ivan,

    The LMZ31503 & LMZ31506 will have similar ripple and transient response when operated at the same conditions. The components internal to the 6A device are sized for increased current.

    Look at the LMZ31704. It is a 4A device with very low ripple. It is in a 10mm x 10mm x 4.3mm package. This part is releasing this week and EVMs are already available.
