The only IC TI has to charge multi cells is the bq2000.

Most all of our chargers have a CC then CV profile.

The bq2000 has both, but is setup so that it stays in CC mode and looks for a Nickel termination.  If it is a nickel pack and the pack reaches full capacity prior to reaching the CV mode, then the charge will terminate.  If the pack reaches the CV mode, the charger assumes it is a Li-ion pack and then regulates in CVmode until the current tapers and reaches the termination threhold.

The bq247xx chargers are notebook charges and depend on the host to start and stop charge, so the charge is just a power stage that is controlled by the host.  This would work also, but one would have to provide own software.

The bq2000 have a charge current max of 2A (http://www.ti.com/product/bq2000) The TI don't have IC with 3A of current charge?

The switching FET and diode is external, so one can choose the FETs, diode and inductor to have a 3A charge.

Hello,

The BQ2000 don't have communications for control the current/mode of charge. I want a IC that charge NIMH or LiFePO4 but the contral of the charge is by uC(by I2C, SPI, ...,).

The bq24745 is appropriate for my case? If yes, the TI have examples of circuit?
