Hi Willem,
Usually you should guarantee that the junction temperature of LM5101 not exceed the spec.
So, what is your application and what is your concern?
Regards
My application is a BLDC motor driver bridge.
I need this information to determine the 12V power requirements on my PCB.
The LM5101ASD HO and LO pins are each connected to one IRF6668 gate by a 10ohm resistor.
A 1uF bootstrap capacitor will be used.
Hi Willem,
In the spec , there is a VDD operating current in page 4, whose maximum value is 3mA at 500khz, 12V VDD , no load.
So if they are driving the IRF6668, you can calculate the driving loss by Qg ,frequency, VDD.
Then , you could sum the two power, then you get it.
From my experience, design a bias to power 100mA is enough for the driver.
