Powering the MPC5566 with 1.5V DCDC converter

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS54110-Q1, LM1084

Hi,

has anoyone used the MPC5566 MCU and powered it with TI switching DC/DC converters (3.3V and 1.5V). This MCU doesn't have any power sequencing requirement for the 1.5V and 3.3V but folks around me  refuse to use TPS54110-Q1  to generate 1.5V. Any  suggestion, recommendation or advice  is welcomed. Thank you in advance for your help.

  • There may be timing requirements for the MPC5566 depending on the state of Vddsyn and Vrc33.  I have never used the MPC5566 though.  I looked at the Target board.  It does not even use 1.5 V.  It generates 5V (LM1084), 3.3V (LM25965S3V3) and 2.5 V (LM11172V5).  I do not see any reason why TPS54110-Q1 could not be used to generate 1.5 V if required, but there are any number of dc/dc converters that can convert 5V to 1.5 V.
