Using UCD90120A FPWMs as digital clock outputs

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMZ31506, UCD90120A

Hi,

I need an external clock (480 kHz) to synchronize several power modules (e.g. LMZ31506) for current sharing.

In the data sheet of the UCD90120A it's mentioned that the FPWMs can be configured as clocks with programmable phases. It would be great to use this option as the device is already foreseen in our design, but I couldn't find more information, for example how this feature is configured using the software tool.

Regards,

Maximilian

  • PWM outputs are set from the Pin Assignment tab of the Configure page of the Fusion Digital Power Designer GUI.  Click Add PWM and a new line appears, select which output pin to use and click the Configure link at the end of the line to set the duty cycle, frequency and phase, see below.
