Communication Inputs for the Bq wireless power series

Hi,

the bqTesla IC's  have two sets of Comm A  and Comm B  ,  which are recommended to be tied together.

I was wondering what could be the reason for two ports .  Would there be applications where Comm A  and Comm B ports are used seperately,  and what would be this application?

Thanks and Regards,

Ganesh

  • The bq500XXX bqTESLA Transmitter Comm A & Comm B are used to read the RX communications packets.  Comm A will demodulate the packets differently for Comm B.  Under some load conditions one works better than the other, result is improved commutations over load.
The user does not have the option to change this part of the circuit.
