The TWL6032 spec for backup battery or supercap selection requires that its ESR be less than 20 ohms if a parallel capacitor is not used. What is the risk if the ESR of a supercap is 80 ohms max and we do not use a parallel cap. We are really tight for space and want to just use the single component if possible. What will result if we do not include the cap. We could use a 2.6V or 3.3V supercap if that makes any difference.
